Gemma Rochester - Photographer in Wonderland

The Foundry welcomes the work of Gemma Rochester to its walls, and the theme of the photography offers a new interpretation on Lewis Carroll's most famous creation. Although photography is not Gemma's preferred medium, the pictures demonstrate her propensity for using the human form as a canvas and experimentation with light and colour.

Scottish in origin, Gemma is based in Wrexham and works mainly in film, having studied animation at The North Wales School of Art. She lists an eclectic range of interests, including children's literature, old cameras, broken clocks, taxidermy and jokes about science.

Gemma's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland-themed work can be seen periodically at The Foundry and is well worth checking out before it disappears down a rabbit-hole.....
