Artworks of Margaret Carter

Inspirational artist and entrepreneur, Margaret Carter will be exhibiting her artwork at The Foundry gallery from July through to September 2009.

Margaret is a true representation of how applying creative strategies to business can mix with amazing results.  Her traditional food business, Patchwork was established in 1982 with a start-up cost of just £9.00, selling home-made pâtés to pubs in Llangollen.  The company is now an award-wining, international business with stockists all over the UK.

After many years of intense work, Margaret has been able to step back from the business to indulge her creative passions as a unique textile artist, creating original pieces of art using natural materials including lavender sticks, silk and linen and working with 'Chakra' colours, which create a sense of peace and tranquility throughout her work.  She has also created an impressive large scale installation from Welsh hemp, linen and cotton.  All works are featured in Margaret's portfolio, which can be viewed at http://www.margaretcarter.co.uk.

Margaret's exeptional work will be on display at The Foundry gallery, throughout August and early September and can be viewed from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
