Rampant Dragon Ltd which runs The Foundry (www.thefoundrywrexham.co.uk) Wrexham’s Creative Industries Business Centre and Frozen Grape (www.frozengrape.co.uk), the web design team behind the successful www.wrexhammusic.co.uk have joined forces to construct this new online hub to promote Wrexham’s cultural sector.

wrexhamarts.com been put together to respond to the demand from venues, organisations and the public highlighted by the recent “Taking The Arts Forward” conference and subsequent press stories. The central aim is to unify the incredible variety of organisations and activities under one banner so that residents of, and visitors to, the area can find out what’s going on at the click of a mouse.

 This site will be a one-stop-shop to find out what’s going on in Wrexham and the surrounding region, including art exhibitions, music, theatre, film and any other cultural events – workshops, training courses, summer schools etc. It will also be the place to go to find out how to get involved in the arts scene in the town, with opportunities to post details of volunteer programmes, auditions and similar. In addition to these there will be a section for local arts news and a forum to discuss the latest hot topics. There will be links from the site to take visitors to the websites of each registered organisation where they can find out more.

 The activities of the site will be supported by a regular email that goes out to members of the public giving up to date listings of forthcoming events.

 The site can be developed in the future to be a portal for ticket sales – maybe backed up by a physical town centre ticket office; a place to sell local arts and crafts; and other imaginative ways to aid the development of culture in Wrexham.
